Established by the end of the XIX Century, the 140ha park is divided into agricultural area and wetlands for fish farming and nest a 70ha private property, which has been in our family for decades.
The main activity is the breeding and fattening of cross-breed Limousine cattle, mainly in grazing.
Oats are grown in our fields dedicated to hay straw and pasture for our cows and horses.. Many fruit trees are also present.
Herdade dos Salgados do Fialho is also proud to host an area exclusively dedicated to fish farming over more than 20 Ha.
We rise Douradas (sparus aurata) in a extensive regime, fed through tidal gates on the rich salt waters of the Ria Formosa loaded with nutrients, microalgae, mollusks, bivalves, small fish, and shrimp from the estuary.
We have been welcoming tourists for a few years now, offering an immersion in a natural environment for a direct experience of life in an authentic rural property.
